This is Rugby - Austrian Style

Post by morgenhund » Mon Nov 04, 2019 1:09 pm

I stayed at home for the RWC final in order to be able to go to the Austria vs Norway match. There is a certain magic about watching Rugby at Sportklub's ground in Hernals.

Vienna is like an Ikea sofa - you know you should upgrade, but why bother when it is this comfortable.

Magnificent. I will check out the fixtures. Would be great to see a game. I went to a rugby school as well (rugby from September to December, hockey from January to April). Played hockey through university but still have a rugby ball which I sometimes kick and throw around with kids. (And sometimes I kick and throw the kids as well!)

If your children are interested there is children's rugby at Donau RC from a very young age. Will get my boys into the game at some point. Paternal pride is best witnessed by a beautiful spin pass.

I think skiing might be only sport that should only be done professionally. Although the crashes are sometimes more spectacular at amateur level!
