Driving license translation?

Post by bigdog » Fri Nov 08, 2019 10:51 am

I have a non-EU driving licence and want to drive in Austria.

Apparently if you have a foreign driving licence and it isn't written in German, then you either need to get your licence translated or get an International Driving Permit (https://www.help.gv.at/Portal.Node/hlpd ... 90000.html).

Has anyone here done the translation option? Where would I get the translation from and do I need to do anything else?

Thanks

What language is the driving licence in originally?
Vienna is like an Ikea sofa - you know you should upgrade, but why bother when it is this comfortable.

Would try to see if you don't need a translation, given that it is in English, but if they insist on a translation of the Arabic, try this list of certified translators/interpreters.

The Verkehrsamt, where you convert from a foreign licence.

Located at Dietrichgasse 27 in the third district.
