New to Wien

Post by RedKiteWien » Sun Jan 28, 2018 12:34 pm

Hi everyone
Settling in to life here , I have been here since Jan 1st and my Daughter is now with me to see what Wien has to offer compared to England for a young adult. I hope to be here for a good year or two, done all the legal registering stuff and am working as an IT Analyst. I speak fluent German, which does not help one bit when standing at the WurstlStand or in a local bar and listening to the locals  but it is good for work etc
I have two "English" colleagues, one has been in the German speaking word for yonks ! Combined age of the three of us 170+++
I will add some threads in the general areas as well, look forward to meeting people here and in person.
Andy

Hi Andy - hope you are settling in. We organise events too, and our forums are not as busy as they once were (the curse of social networks) but hope there is some useful information in here.
Vienna is like an Ikea sofa - you know you should upgrade, but why bother when it is this comfortable.
