Thanks!
I'm just like every modern woman trying to have it all. A loving husband, a family. I only wish I had more time to seek out the dark forces and join their hellish crusade. That's all.

Yes you can! Wash suede in the washing machine with care! Bought a really expensive coat a few years ago for a fraction of the price in a sale. It’s now ingrained heavily with dirt and going for a professional clean would be more than I paid for the coat. So feeling I had nothing to lose, I washed it in a gentle cycle…. figuring it gets wet in the rain too. Vey pleased with the results.

Just hope it doesn’t fall apart come this winter!

@Olly and Snowdog - has been corrected now - visible for everyone!
Vienna is like an Ikea sofa - you know you should upgrade, but why bother when it is this comfortable.

hurray to a new kitten coming over today. can't wait. everything is set up - the climbing house, the comfortable sofa, the fat guinea pigs for lunch

its not very often that almost complete strangers make your day in vienna, but yesterday was such a day!
a week ago i lost my favourite brooch, it used to be on one of my coats and i have been everywhere that day, so no chance of tracking it down... Then yesterday, we came out of Artis cinema after a movie and one of the girls from the ticket booth (that have always been very hepful and friendly to us) ran after us - she had the brooch in her hand! She said they found it a week ago. Not only did they find and keep it , they knew who it belonged to (!) and well... it was just the best feeling ever, hurray to good people!

this topic seems sadly neglected...

I'm afraid that my post will sound very prosaic after _kat_'s altruistic one (a great story, btw!), but I must share my Hurray - being very impressed by Bank Austria, who awarded all of their online banking clients with 30 euros, because their online banking facilities were intermittently not working for a few days. A very pleasant surprise, because personally I wasn't inconvenienced at all, plus banks back home would never ever issue such a "tangible" apology :-)
