Currently playing: "I Ain't the One" by Lynyrd Skynyrd. Maybe you've contacted the wrong helpdesk. In fact, it has just now changed to Freebird.

The quality of telephonic support you will get is directly proportional to the quality of their helpdesk waiting music. Discuss.

In this case correct, as they simply refused to help me, and referred me to online support. And the online support messed up..

Agh, dont get me started

I've been trying for awhile, it took me 2 months to add my location!

This is the message I get....

The URL that you requested, /Your_Account/Your_Account.html, could not be found. Perhaps you either mistyped the URL or we have a broken link.

We have logged this error and will correct the problem if it is a broken link. We're sorry, but that page does not exist

I got the same message when I tried to do it from work, but it was fine on my laptop at home...

Maybe it's some software that's not usually installed on work laptops? Maybe security settings? Also I use Internet Explorer at work and Firefox at home... did you try to change location or browser?

If I try to go into my account from the 'your account' tab on top it doesnt work. If I go in by clicking on my name on the top of the right bar (where it says 'Welcome back Sunshine') I can actually get into my account. But still then most images are red crosses. I already mentioned this before though

I guess we'll just have to wait for the website upgrade!!

Stilly and Angie_Baby - check your PMs - I can change your avatars for you from my Admin log in.

Moving! I had forgotten just how much I hate the whole process. Well at least the end result will be worth it.

Argh!

I don't think it will be appreciated that I am not reachable now.. shit

If you have interweb access why not use Skype? If it is allowed in your office.

that is not the issue.. we have an internal chat system, but I am not at my computer all the time so i need to be available on my mobile for work.

I am sure they will survive without being able to call me for a week, I just cant believe the incredibly bad timing my phone choses to die!

Another suggestion is to just buy an unlocked, cheap mobile locally and claim it back on your expenses. I think under the circumstances your boss can hardly object.

You can get a half-decent Nokia unlocked for about 70 bucks these days.

Andreas

ps. Am I trying too hard to help here? Would you just prefer it if work accepted it was an accident to drop both your mobiles into a pond upon arrival and that they cannot call you for a week?

I was pick-pocketed in Rochus last night!

1. I paid the bill at the end, and stayed another 5 minutes
2. At that time the tables behind us and around were empty
3. My wallet was in my inside cost pocket, which was zipped closed, over the back of my chair
4. A friend was sitting at the table on the wallet side, and my girlfriend was sitting opposite - no one saw anything
5. Over a hundred bucks :-(

HOW DO THEY DO IT???

Ever seen "The Hustle"? There seem to be an awful lot of ways for one to be relieved of one's wallet. Happened to me a couple of times, since when I've never tried to carry more cash than I need - I feel more safe with enough for the evening and a couple of cards than carrying everything and a surfeit of cash.

Very easy, if your wallet is not on your person. I have seen these guys lift a wallet in the blink of an eye.

Now an old trick I learned in Asia. Always keep your wallet in your front pocket. I know it doesn't help the lie of the pants, however it does improve the odds you will not be pickpocketed. Never put your wallet in your jacket, knapsack, or other place it is not on your person.

Sorry to hear about your loss.

Years ago in London I was relieved of 30 quid and my bankomat and credit cards while on the underground. I only realised early the next morning.

To this day I still do not know how they did it. Luckily I was able to claim it back on insurance.

I know they're good at their job.

But seriously, only the cash was gone (they even left the valid U-bahn pass) and they zipped the pocket closed again afterwards.

Also normally I don't carry much cash, but I had just got 150 bucks to put in the bank that evening. It's so annoying.

Taking the subway (with 2 transfers) all the way to OBI this weekend to get paint. Selected the paint, we carried 15L of paint and all supplies back on the train. Getting home, taped everything off, started painting and HATE the colour!! :(

Why don't you take the unopened paint back (with the receipt) and just buy one pot of another colour to test.

Life is a learning curve ;-)
