Online shopping

Post by jw112211 » Sat May 18, 2013 5:32 pm

So I like to do most of my shopping online which includes clothes. Does anyone know a good site that delivers for clothes shopping that sells brands and/or non-branded items?

If the items can be delivered to a store that's even better but I doubt that's going to be available.

Menswear or women's?

I like http://www.dalvey.com for high quality menswear and accessories, made in Scotland.

good idea for a thread.  besides zalando.at are there any other really good customer-centric online megashops (huge selection, competitive prices, easy returns, free shipping, etc)

for:
-sporting goods
-hardware
-housewares
-electronics
etc etc etc

amazon.de is default but the selection doesnt quite match those of amazon.com or .uk or .fr

I order from amazon.co.uk for a lot which is cheaper than amazon.de - CD's for example.

Also http://www.feelunique.com are a decent Jersey based merchant of cosmetics and make-up (for the missus, and some Decleor for me). Takes two weeks for standard delivery to Austria though.

Depends what it is, CDs and books they do but things like toys, games and electronic equipment they probably won't.

I've been ordering from amazon.co.uk for neigh on ten years chef while I lived in Germany and Austria. You pay a little more for delivery but it's still mich cheaper for many things.

I ordered my laptop with standard delivery on a Monday and it was delivered in Vienna on Thursday afternoon!

Amazon uk won't ship things with license restrictions such as new blue rays, but even those are often released at the same time now.

Also it used to be marketplace items we only national, but again most of them ship Europe wide as well now.

Cheers for that, I probably tried to order license restrictions and then decided that they dont ship here.

I usually send it to my brothers firm anyway and they repost it, so delivery is free for me anyway.

Debenhams is a site we use often for kids clothes / Toys, the 7 pounds delivery means you need to bulk an order up a bit to make it worth your while.

But they often have great offers and promotional codes.

Play.com is a good one for things like books/ toys etc, its free postage Europe wide, and the used books can be gotten for about a pound each.
Delivery can take anything from a week to a month, so its one of those sites I use to get christmas presents through the year and when it comes it comes.

I havent bought a dvd or cd in 5 years, have no desire to pay for a hard copy when I can download to be honest

Thanks for all the replies. I've used House of Frasier once but it took about 10 days for delivery. Amazon.de/at is usually reliable but as mentioned previously, their clothing range leaves much to be desired.

I like the HoF service where you order online, pick up in-store at which you can try on and return if necessary.

I used to use haburi.com quite a lot but they changed a lot of the brands that they stocked, so I haven't used them as much recently.
Vienna is like an Ikea sofa - you know you should upgrade, but why bother when it is this comfortable.

Is it worth having Amazon Prime while in Austria?
