Sightseeing Discount Card within Austria - Lower Austria Card

Post by jantravels » Tue Jun 06, 2017 8:40 pm

Hello Everyone!

If you're planning trips within Austria, you may want to check out the Lower Austria card. It saved me a lot of money last year and I saw a lot of cool places throughout the country. For example, the card costs like 61 Euro and is good from April 1 to March of the following year. You can get one of the books in English that describes everything and includes a map.

For example, in Vienna:
- Sigmund Freud Museum
- Madame Tussauds Wax Museum and other attractions at Prater
- Time Travel
- Art Exhibits
- ...

And tons of places outside Vienna from tours, attractions, castles, etc.

This blog talks about it:

There are a couple of threads about the "Niederösterreich Card" on here (from 2010 and 2013). Any other similar cards out there for other parts on Austria?
Vienna is like an Ikea sofa - you know you should upgrade, but why bother when it is this comfortable.

We have the Niederösterreich card - the savings are incredible. Some of the private railways and museum entries are well over 10 eur so you quickly make your money back even if you only go to about 6 places a year.

We are new (re)converts. Did the Riesenrad yesterday, hadn't done it in about 14 years. Some of the private railways and cable cars make the card pay for itself very quickly.
