Any geocachers out there?

Post by sarahstanden » Thu Feb 07, 2019 8:35 am

I used to really enjoy Geocaching but fell out of love with it after doing my 366-day streak a few years ago. If there's anyone out there who would be interested in going out to do some together, or trying it out for the first time, please get in touch! I am free some afternoons and all day on Sunday :)

I did briefly get into it after reading an article about it, a few years back and seeing if there were any in my district. I spent ages trying to find one by the Oesterreichische Nationalbank - quite difficult to do without looking decidedly shifty.
Vienna is like an Ikea sofa - you know you should upgrade, but why bother when it is this comfortable.

This is what I find so challenging (in a negative way) here, compared to my experiences in a town in the UK or in the countryside somewhere - there are always people everywhere! I don't like looking shady...!

I spent a while trying to get to a cache at the Oesterreichische Nationalbank, but the security cameras were most off-putting.

Looking shifty near a bank? Have you seen how many bank robberies happen here?

Think more like Bank of England and gold vaults...
