We are currently making quite a few changes behind the scenes with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) entering into force on 25 May 2018. The biggest changes will be on our Vienna Expats Forums, which we are currently in the process of knocking into shape. In particular, since there is to be a paradigm shift towards explicit opt-in (rather than opt-in) and no passive agreement (e.g. boxes already ticked), we are having to go through how we handle user data.
As part of the “right to be forgotten” we are now allowing users to delete their forums accounts. We hope many might not want to delete their account, but are nevertheless simplifying the process. In addition we are also purging the forums of any unnecessary personal information (e.g. user dates of birth, social media profile addresses etc.). Further information can be found on the special page on the forums at:

This contains information as well as the necessary link to how to delete your profile.
